About Karen Walker

Professionally, this passion lives in designing new facilities, building expansions, and renovation – whatever spaces you need to get your company to the next level. Clients achieve their vision with responsive, adaptive, and innovative solutions. The goal is to optimize the flow of people and products through their day with integrated site, building, and process design. Anything from very small commercial renovations to very large industrial complexes, no challenge goes unmet. I love to use an organization\'s internal growth potential, blend it with their external branding, and use their processes to optimize their needs. My history is with schools, community projects, and industrial/manufacturing and my passion for design is based around the intersection of environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic sustainability. To meet your needs with something pleasing to the eye yet simple to maintain is how I measure success. I look for every opportunity to create buildings as unique as their owners, where beauty and function can be so intrinsically woven one can\'t exist without the other.In my down time, I’m an amateur “back of the pack” triathlete and marathoner. I believe in getting my money’s worth out of every distance race. I feel the same way about project budgets - get the most value out of every dollar spent.To share a secret, I love to stoke the fire within others as they push themselves to becoming their best selves. Whether helping someone prepare for professional certification, cross the finish line of a marathon, or reach a bucket list goal, not much gives me more joy than contributing to others’ successes. I have been a registered architect for over 20 years and a Master of Organization Development since 2020. I maintain three LEED® accredited professional certificates, a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certificate, and am a John Maxwell leadership coach/trainer/speaker.
