I am a compliance consultant supporting a federal government agency, leveraging regulatory expertise in federal uniform guidance, the HHS Grants Policy Statement, and the Grants Policy and Administration Manual. This has led to identifying instances of non-compliance and unallowable costs totaling $2.5 million in improper payments eligible to be collected on behalf of the awarding agency.Collaborated with the Single Audit (SA) and Efficiencies team to review documentation used in the SA process, identifying inefficiencies and inconsistencies in the standardization of Management Decision Letters (MDLs). Developed a comprehensive Compliance Crosswalk that mapped eleven SA elements to their corresponding Uniform Guidance citations, regulatory requirements, and relevant policies, supporting improved compliance and process efficiency.
