ABOUT KAREN ROWE
Karen Rowe is an experienced Transportation Leader who is passionate about working with people. Karen has worked in various roles around Colorado overseeing public and private sector transportation programs including oversight for design and construction on many projects at CDOT. As CDOT\'s Region 2 Transportation Director (RTD) for SouthEast Colorado (14 counties), she led 400 people delivering project and maintaining the transportation system. In this role, good communication, coordination and customer service to the many Cities, Counties, and various stakeholders was key to her success. After starting her career working for DMJM designing highways in California, she transferred to Colorado and eventually worked around the state with CDOT. In early 2020, Karen took on the role in Oregon Dept. of Transportation of Delivery and Operations Division Administrator leading 2,700 employees. Most recently, she joined Wood who became WSP to lead their transportation group in Denver. She is currently the PPACG Grant Navigator as a contract employee. She is recognized for her inspirational and authentic leadership style as well as her passion for people and transportation.
