About Karen Lippe

My career began in Public Accounting working in the Oil and Gas Industry, primarily large independent E&P companies. After 8 years in public accounting, I began working for Occidental Petroleum as a Manager of Finance and Planning in the Permian Basin Business unit and then the Controller for the Midcontinent Assets and International Non-Operated Assets. In those roles, my team and I worked closely with the business unit management team to account for all capital spending, production, and operating expenses and reviewed the business unit results monthly. When Oxy decided to move its corporate headquarters to Houston, I took over as Director of Corporate Accounting and responsible for all corporate activities including Stock Based Compensation, Benefit Plan accounting, accounting for treasury activities such as debt, cash, and interest rate swaps, and accounting for functional areas such as real estate, insurance, IT, and equity. I am currently the ESG controller.
