ABOUT KAREN LAMBERT
My research focuses on investigating alterations in muscle metabolism associated with health, particularly in the context of non-communicable diseases and non-pharmacological interventions. I adopt a comprehensive approach, conducting research from bench to bedside, with a particular emphasis on utilizing physical exercise and nutritional supplementation, particularly grape polyphenols, to improve overall health and muscle function.Furthermore, I am actively involved in initiatives aimed at enhancing the sustainability of food systems. I have served as a member of the advisory board for the Key Initiative on Food Systems in Montpellier. Additionally, I hold roles as the coordinator of the Food track within the CHARM-EU European master program at UM and as the scientist-in-charge for the University of Pretoria-University of Montpellier\'s Feed-Protect-Care Global Collaborative PhD Platform. Through these endeavors, I contribute to advancing knowledge and practices that promote healthier food systems and sustainable nutrition.
