ABOUT KAREN KAHN
Karen Kahn is an attorney, equestrian, artist, writer and mother who lives in the Bay Area with her husband, dog and horses. She is Certified by the California Board of Equine Interaction Professionals and by Brandman University in Art4Healing. Karen has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California in Art History and a Juris Doctorate from the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law. Throughout her law career, Karen has represented plaintiffs with catastrophic injuries related to toxic exposures. Karen Kahn is the Founder, President and Executive Director of Crescent Moon Center, A Place for Healing Through Horses and Art, a nonprofit organization with a mission to build a community of support around individuals recovering from substance use disorders by:(1) offering equine-assisted learning and creative arts programs;(2) creating a lens of discovery into addiction; and (3) advocating for change in the public’s perception of addiction.
