ABOUT KAREN COUSINS
My 25 year instrumental music teaching career has diversified - I am now also the author of a book on Dyslexia and Success that will feature in all secondary schools and young offenders institutes. With a passion for educating others on neurodiversity, including teachers, parents and students, providing skills and strategies, enabling learning to be possible for all. My mission to ensure neurodiverse students can achieve their very best has also led me to qualify as a professional coach. Assisting students to achieve their wider goals through coaching is always deeply fulfilling, as both a teacher and a motivational coach. Alongside my neurodiverse coaching with students, I am using my coaching skills to improve Mental Health and Well-being with the NHS and reaching out to the wider community. This is a very exciting project that I have recently started and I look forward to making positive healthy and holistic changes to benefit many people. I am on the Hampshire Dyslexia Association Committee and also a member of the The NeuroDiversity GiFTS (NDGiFTS) group. It will be great to connect with other educators and institutions who have an interest in positive education for neurodiverse students. I am also interested in connecting with Health and Well-being Coaches. I can be reached on my email: k••••@dyslexiaandsuccess.com
