I am currently a plant improvement engineer at Infineum - an oil-additives chemical company joint venture between Exxon-Mobil and Shell. I primarily work on capital projects in the area of continuous improvement. Projects can range from safety, capacity increase, reliability, to even sustainability. My responsibility is on the front end loading project development scoping, but I also support project engineers in project execution and startup. As an improvement engineer my goal is to not only develop capital projects, but also to support 5 manufacturing units through non capital improvement projects such as safety followups, alarm rationalization, and day to day unit troubleshooting and process optimization.
