Karen L. Charles is the Founder and Artistic Director of Threads Dance Project (TDP). TDP is a contemporary dance company whose mission is to examine, expose and celebrate the ties that bind humans together. Karen has a B.F.A. in Ballet from Texas Christian University, M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Georgia State University. She performed professionally in Pittsburgh, Kansas City and Atlanta. She is a choreographer, dancer and educator committed to dance and dance education.
