About Kareem Youssef
As my PhD at UCLA in Materials Science and Engineering concludes, I am excited to transition into an industry role so I can apply my experience to develop and manufacture next generation materials, devices, and products.My academic work focuses on silicone dielectric elastomer device manufacture, polymer composite electrodes for electrochemical biosensing, and low-cost electroluminescent thin films. My research successes result from extensive screening, characterization, and integration of high-performance polymers and nanomaterials into functional devices.My career interests include polymer manufacturing, engineering materials for green technologies, wearable sensors, bioelectronics, polymer formulations and adhesives, and emerging actuator technologies.
