About Kareem Khan

I am Kareem Khan, a passionate and dedicated civil and structural engineer with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in structural design and construction management. I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Civil Engineering from Osmania University in 2019. To further enhance my expertise, I pursued a Master of Science in Structural Design and Construction Management with Professional Placement at Kingston University, UK, from 2020 to 2023.During my academic journey, I actively engaged in practical learning through internships and projects. My three-month internship at SEMAC Consultant Engineers during my final year of undergraduate studies allowed me to gain valuable insights into civil engineering practices, project management, and structural design. This experience helped me understand the real-world challenges of the construction industry and honed my ability to collaborate with professionals in the field.For my final-year undergraduate project, I worked on the Design and Analysis of a Connected Apartment, where I conducted in-depth planning and evaluation of a networked residential building. This project enabled me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world design challenges, improving my problem-solving and analytical skills.As part of my master\'s program, I completed a one-year paid internship at Sikara Media Ltd. T/A CAD League as a CAD Design Engineer Intern (20••••23). In this role, I participated in weekly team meetings, reported on project progress, and developed designs for various assigned projects. This experience strengthened my ability to work in a professional environment, enhanced my CAD expertise, and allowed me to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.After completing my master’s, I pursued a Master’s Diploma in Structural Design AND ARCHITECTURAL, where I gained hands-on experience with industry-leading software such as STAAD.Pro, RCDC, ETABS, Revit Architecture, and AutoCAD. This training has refined my technical skills in structural analysis and design, allowing me to create safe, efficient, and cost-effective structures.
