ABOUT KARA WATKINS
Bringing in over 15 years of experience, I am a residential Realtor based in San Diego, specializing in the beach communities. I chose my profession at the age of 25, learning early on that I had a passion in helping others connect with the ocean. Having a Beach Home is a wish for so many and I feel lucky to be an integral part of fulfilling that dream. A mother of 3 boys and avid surfer, I spend much of my time in the ocean or on the sand. My business philosophy is a marriage of high expectations, hard work, and loyalty. My personal philosophy is balance and mindfulness. Integrity is non-negotiable. A little background about me. I grew up in Northern California in a family of seven. My father is a native San Diegan, and both he my grandparents have been in the real estate business for over 50 years. It was a natural decision to follow in their footsteps in the real estate field. I find that I am naturally enthusiastic about where I live and work. San Diego is one of the finest places in the world and I am blessed to be a part of this community and to have had success in this rewarding industry. I am a graduate from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and earned a BA in Communications and Minor in Global Economics. While attending school, I received title as an All-American Waterpolo player. I was also a member of the United States Women’s National Water polo team, which won the Junior Pan American games in 1996, in Cuba.
