For the past 9 years (still currently in this position), I have been Caruso Middle School\'s 6th-8th Grade General Music Teacher, Choir Director, Musical Director/Music Director/Choreographer, and Talent Show Coordinator.In the time I have been here, I have renewed, revised, and grown the Caruso Choral Program. Caruso Choirs perform in 5 concerts a year and meets as an extra-curricular program. In addition, I have coordinated an annual, combined choir concert with the Deerfield High School Choral Program. This concert helps middle school students experience the world of high school choir and promotes joining at the high school level. I have also provided my students the opportunities to participate in ILMEA Festivals, IHSA Solo/Ensemble Contests, and combined performances with Band and Orchestra colleagues and my Choir co-worker at the other middle school.In addition to my Choral experiences, yearly, I put on a high scale, professional quality musical with casts ranging in size up 50+ students (and an additional 20 crew members as well). I have been the main coordinator for this program since I arrived at Caruso and have directed, music directed, choreographed, and produced the musicals. I also hired 3 experienced theatrical contractors to help increase our production quality and clearly communicated all information with them.In my General Music classroom, I teach GarageBand (on Mac Desktops), Piano, Music Theory, Musical Theater, Digital Music Studio (GarageBand, iMovie, Soundation, Flat.io, and more), Percussion Unit, Boomwhackers, and soon will be teaching basic Guitar.Please feel free to visit my Music website for more information: https://kvombrack.wixsite.com/carusomusic/
