About Karan Vohra

I started my career in the web development space, finding a passion in the backend side of the field. That quickly evolved into my fascination of the AI/ML space. I am now currently finishing up my Master of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Interactive Intelligence from Georgia Tech, and would like to combine my knowledge gained from the work field with what I have learned from Tech.Looking for full-time work in the AI/ML space either remote or in the Atlanta, GA area.

    Created internal testing framework utilizing NLP technologies to allow Product team to run regression suites at will. Allowed for quick regression on smaller features freeing up ~1-2 days of QA time per sprint. Built using Python, NodeJS, and React. Utilizes open-source framework, Rasa, for NLP functionality.Took over ownership of Commercial Acquisition APIs and set the roadmap and foundation to reduce next market delivery time using GraphQL and NodeJS. Each market is built using the same schema setting in place \'baseline\' data structure to promote reusability from scratch. Brought Market API delivery time from ~7 days to 2-3 days. Rolled out 10 separate markets each with 6-10 pages. Hardened the backend code quality by achieving 100% unit tests while re-engineering the API using Mocha.Built and released card member experience on US market. Built experience into GraphQL and REST API by pulling code into reusable modules to allow \'toggling\' of featureLed multiple meetings for new hires to help improve onboarding process. Lead and mentored group of 14 interns to automate and build out template to represent BUR slides. Built using React and NodeJS with a Couchbase DB. Lead and mentored group of 4 interns to improve the Smart Content Conversion tool. Interns were able automate backpropagation and improve output accuracy. Built dashboard using React and Node JS to consolidate all deployment information into one location.
