   As a Consultant in Data Engineering, I’m currently leading cloud data lake initiatives for a major European automotive client, helping them modernize their data platform on AWS. My work involves managing large-scale, end-to-end data onboarding projects that migrate complex, structured datasets from on-premises systems into a centralized cloud-based data lake built on AWS.In this role, I design and implement robust ETL pipelines using PySpark and Python, and lead data transformation processes to make raw data analytics-ready. My focus is not just on development but also infrastructure management, where I use AWS CDK with TypeScript to provision and automate scalable, reusable infrastructure components.I work extensively with a broad range of AWS services including Glue (Jobs, Workflows, Crawlers), S3, Athena, Lake Formation, Apache Iceberg, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, and CodePipeline—building a highly modular, metadata-driven data lake architecture. My contributions have improved automation, reduced manual overhead, and ensured compliance with governance standards, enabling faster and more secure data availability across domains.Beyond the technical execution, I also play a key role in stakeholder interaction, requirement analysis, solution design reviews, and driving technical discussions across cross-functional teams. I balance hands-on development with ownership responsibilities, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of scalable and cost-effective solutions.Prior to this, I contributed to regulatory reporting initiatives for an insurance client, conducting system and gap analyses to support IFRS 17 implementation.This role has allowed me to grow into a hybrid engineer-leader profile—where I not only code and design but also mentor team members, optimize processes, and shape solution strategies that align with both business goals and technical best practices.
