This includes training new hires and providing ongoing coaching.• Receiving and inspection: Oversee the receiving of shipments, including unloading, inspecting goods for damage or errors, and verifying them against purchase orders.• Inventory management: Ensure accurate inventory records through proper labelling, counting, and regular cycle counts. This also includes managing the proper placement and storage of incoming goods.• Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inbound shipments, discrepancies, and team performance. Identify areas for process improvement in the receiving operation and implement solutions to increase accuracy and efficiency Participate in audits and contribute to warehouse optimization initiatives• Process improvement: Identify opportunities for improving the workflow of the incoming goods area and implement new processes and procedures to increase efficiency. • Communication and coordination: Act as a liaison between the team and other departments, such as procurement, customer service, and management. They also handle and escalate issues as needed.
