About Kara Martone
Throughout my career in education, technology, and marketing, something I’m most proud of is my ability to put ideas into motion. I thrive when working together with cross-functional teams to gather ideas, making a concept real, and positively impact an end-user’s experience.Solutions-oriented by nature, I have consistently sought out opportunities to use technology to make resources more accessible and processes more efficient. At LuHi, an independent 6-12 school, I have served in both Director of Technology and Director of Communications roles. In these positions, I aim to understand the experience of our students, families, faculty, and staff in order to implement the best and most effective tools. Whether that involves a new Learning Management System, transitioning to remote and hybrid learning, or identifying the best communication sources, driving positive change and continuous improvement is always my goal. My drive to plan and execute follows me back home too! As a mom of three and sports enthusiast, my active family has given me another window into how technology can make our lives easier. I love seeing disruptive technology not only in the education space, but also in athletics and fitness, and have witnessed first-hand how new tools and ideas can smooth communication and provide valuable resources on the go.
