Black Kite is an independent creative studio offering world class visual effects and design. As the Technical Operations Assistant at Black Kite, I am responsible for QCing and ensuring quality standards for all outgoing deliveries, including Broadcast and Social Media platforms. I have a good working knowledge of the industry and am regularly required to troubleshoot and problem solve.I have also gained experience with the colour assist team whilst learning the workflows on Baselight. This has included; prepping scenes for the Colourists by conforming edits using EDLs and/or ProRes files, reapplying the grade after 2D have exported shots from Flame, consolidating media, rendering scenes and creating viewing links.My current responsibilities include:• Quality control of TV/Social Media campaigns• Playout deliveries to specification (TV/Social Media)• Quick turnaround client approval file upload deliveries.• Audio QC• Data management – (Restores/Archives)• Jobs path clean up• File preparation for 2D artists.• Artwork preparation.• Logging digital master media content.
