I am Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial and Regulatory Law, Power & Storage for TC Energy, supporting Power & Storage business uni. My areas of responsibility include advising TC Energy business groups on proposed transactions and ongoing commercial relationships with respect to Canadian power generation assets (including thermal, cogeneration, wind and solar facilities), gas storage facilities and related commodity trading, and the purchase and sale of environmental offsets (including carbon credits and Renewable Energy Certificates). I help monitor the impact of evolving derivatives regulations on Canadian commodity swaps and derivative contracts and in addition I support our Energy Business Development team in the negotiation of agreements related to the purchase or sale of physical power assets in both Canada and the United States.
