About Kara Zbock

I finished my education in 2018 with Bachelor of Science - BS focused in Accounting from University at Buffalo. My experience in accounting led me to an amazing opportunity in the project environment. I joined a finance transformation project where our goal was to make the accounting and finance functions more standardized and centralized, creating more efficient processes for the finance and accounting teams. My role in the finance transformation project allowed me to also get exposure to a workforce management project. On this project, I learned some critical skills about managing the workforce more effectively and efficiently through a new solution and new processes. I also learned a great deal about project management and change management. While on this project, I became a Certified Change Practitioner through Prosci. I also have had some experience in Corporate Accounting where I have experience in cash, prepaids, and payroll reconciliations. Through my experience in payroll reconciliations, I led integration efforts from a manual payroll upload, to an automatic integration fee. In this corporate accounting role, I also assisted in the management of T&E spend. I have now found myself back in the finance transformation space as a consultant, ensuring organizations have the most efficient processes for their finance / accounting teams. I have experience in implementing Blackline, Coupa, and Workiva through this role, along with additional finance transformation projects like close consolidation, current state assessments, and future state blueprints. My experience in the workforce is always teaching me how to grow in both my personal and professional life. Whether it is learning new ways to solve a problem, a new system, or effective ways to work with others, my goal is to never stop learning.
