When the advertising agency I worked for closed in 2008, I suddenly found myself out of a job. So I did what any slightly panicked but highly creative graphic designer would do — I started making lotion candles in my kitchen.What began as a “well, this is different” moment turned into a business I never planned, but absolutely refused to quit. Losing that job ended up being the push I didn’t know I needed.Years later, we’re still here — making the best-smelling lotion candles there ever were. Just not in my kitchen anymore… because growth.Today, Creative Energy Candles can be found in over 2,500 retail locations, including major chain stores across the United States, with a few sprinkled around the world.
