To whom much is given, much will be expected.” This concept has guided my professional and personal life for many years. I thrive on having mission alignment with my work in and out of the office. Whether it is serving on a nonprofit board or helping families explore what being a good steward of their wealth means to them, I am passionate about making the world a better place. I’m a lifetime learner and have found that entrepreneurs, business owners and franchisees often have this same mindset—a genuine curiosity about the world around them. For many business owners, investing in liquid assets has not played a major role in their wealth creation. However, as they approach retirement, succession or a potential transaction, they are forced to think about the potential of managing wealth in a very different way. We often find that business owners are curious about the capital markets, but not necessarily confident in them. Through full transparency and authentic discussions, robust wealth planning, and our global investment framework, we turn curiosity into clarity. In my role as Managing Director, I have direct impact on both our clients and our people. I find great joy and meaning in my work and take my responsibility as a servant leader seriously. I embrace the idea that leadership is not about taking charge, rather taking care of those in your charge. Bernstein is built on a collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to bring their unique gifts and perspectives to their daily work. We are a team who genuinely cares about one another and our clients. I’ve called Ohio home my entire life, and now my husband and I enjoy raising our kids in Northeast Ohio. I’ve traded the weekends of my youth at horse shows for weekends with my kids at lacrosse fields or enjoying family time on the water or skiing. Life with four kids is never dull and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
