About Kara Flath

My progressive career has centered on financial planning, budgetary analysis, and grant administration for public entities. I’ve worked my way from Information Systems Operator to Finance Division Administrator for public schools and have held a number of executive and leadership positions along the way. There is a fine line to balancing the financial needs of finance recipients with what the legislature sets forth. I act as a Point of Contact to bridge the gap between what’s allowed and what needs to be done to facilitate financial success. One of the key roles I’ve held has been legislative representative. I’ve monitored, testified, and prepared executive reports of the goings on behind legislative doors. I have perfected an ability to combine public office management roles with legislative reporting roles to educate officials, contractors, auditors, and staff on relevant regulations. I’ve also stymied negative issues and controversies surrounding public finance.
