About Kara Langenberg Christensen
It has always been my experience that successful people like to have options. I enjoy having conversations with people who might have reached their full potential at their current job, that don’t have the freedom or flexibility that they desire, or that aren’t able to live the quality of life that they deserve because of limited income potential.In October 2010 I joined Northwestern Mutual. I was initially attracted to the firm because I really enjoy helping people and making a difference in their lives. Today, as the Director of Recruitment I appreciate what I am doing more than ever! I love that by meeting with me and having a causal conversation about career goals, I can potentially change the trajectory of someone’s life. My favorite aspect of my role is being able to meet someone new and introduce them to an opportunity that they may have never considered, and it turns out to be what they’ve always wanted. A few things you might want to know about me: I am an avid reader. There is no better way to the end the day than with a great book. When I’m not in the office I love spending time with my friends, family, and attending social events. I love traveling the country and exploring new places. Go Hawkeyes!
