About Kapil Gangwar

I’m Kapil, a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University, working under the guidance of Prof. Edwin C. Kan. My research lies at the intersection of biomedical sensing, radio-frequency (RF) systems, and AI-enhanced signal processing. I’m passionate about designing wearable and non-contact technologies that can revolutionize healthcare monitoring and make it more accessible and affordable especially for underserved populations.Currently, I focus on developing RF and microwave antennas and sensors for embedded and wearable health monitoring systems. I’m also exploring near-field, non-contact RF sensing for longitudinal physiological tracking in clinical and homecare settings. A key aspect of my work involves integrating AI into the interpretation of biomedical signals, particularly those related to respiration, cardiac activity, and human motion.
