Responsible for leading the team that ran day-to-day Operations for the Wireless Business Unit - including Contract manufacturers & and in-house manufacturing + kitting, NPI and manufacturing engineering, Test Engineering, Procurement & Planning, Materials Management & Inventory Control, Order Entry, Logistics & Export Control, Shipping & Receiving, and RMA/Warranty Repair functions.• Partnered with various Contract manufacturers (CM) and defined outsourcing strategy and plans/forecast with both consigned and fully turn-key builds. Worked with inputs from Sales & Marketing to analyze various product and accessory run rates to create monthly forecast to send to CM for build plans.• Drove resolution for technical, yield, quality, EOL/OBS and material shortage issues reported by CM’s and suppliers with inputs from various teams such as R&D and Materials/Procurement.• Successfully managed a NPI run of new product which led to quick ramp-up of manufacturing for >$30mill order to key customer in short span of time from when design files were completed to when delivery was to be met.• Oversaw in-house builds of Prototype/Pre-production units with R&D teams. Additionally looked at processes, assembly, test, and yield factors to improve manufacturability (DFM) and keep cost mitigated.• Drove multiple cross-functional (engineering, purchasing, customer support, finance and sales) continuous improvement and product improvement projects.
