About Kapil Gupta
I am an Assistant Professor in Quantitative Methods and Operations Management at IIM Kozhikode.Previously, I was a Research Fellow in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the National University of Singapore, focusing on Scalable Bayesian spatial and spatio-temporal modeling. I hold a PhD in Decision Sciences area from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where my thesis focused on house price dynamics using spatiotemporal models.My research expertise spans Bayesian statistics, time series, spatial and spatio-temporal modeling, with interests in real-world applications and sports analytics. I have taught courses on quantitative techniques, statistics, and R programming for MBA and doctoral students, and have contributed as a research consultant in real estate analytics.With prior experience as a Senior Data Analyst at Indxx, LLC, and academic credentials from IIT Delhi (Mathematics) and Chennai (Computer Engineering), I am passionate about bridging theory and application. Beyond academia, I enjoy playing badminton and tennis, watching Indian cinema, and following sports, especially cricket and tennis.
