ABOUT KAOUTHER TOUMI

Associate Professor of finance at the University of Toulouse, I specialize in the intersection of ethics, sustainability, and Islamic finance. I hold a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Montpellier (France) and an MSc in Finance and Actuarial Sciences from Lyon 1 University (France).Key Achievements & Editorial Leadership:*Awards: Winner of the 2022 “British Accounting Review Female Research Excellence” award for research on Shari’ah governance and ESG in Islamic banks.*Editorial Roles: Guest Editor for Sustainability, Accounting, Management, and Policy Journal (Q1) and the Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies (Q2), joining the latter’s editorial board in 2025.*International Engagement: Co-founder/Co-chair of the TICIEF conference (Tunisia) and former visiting researcher at Durham University (UK) and Zitouna University (Tunisia). I also actively contribute to the research community by serving on international scientific and organizing committees for scientific events and acting as a frequent reviewer for peer-reviewed journals.I am committed to interdisciplinary collaboration—addressing challenges related to the Anthropocene, entrepreneurship and empowerment—while maintaining active scientific and administrative responsibilities at the institutional level. I\'m co-directing the Bachelor of Technology (BUT3) in Accounting, Tax, and Financial Management, incorporating a work-study program (GEA Rangueil Department - University of Toulouse, France)
