About Michael K.

Since 1996, I\'ve have worked in various capacities in the development and maintenance of Business Information System applications that support PNNL\'s ability to operate the laboratory. My most recent focus is as a service manager supporting applications in the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management systems. Much of my current expertise focus around project management and project execution. I enjoy working with my internal clients to quantify their needs and layout a framework that will meet those needs. I take pride in working on teams with dedicated professionals to provide robust, well-engineered solutions to the sometimes unique problems the laboratory faces. Specialties: My earlier years were primarily focused as a software developer. Later I began to focus more on the architecture of the solutions. In particular, I very much like opportunities that allow me to either migrate or design new database architecutres for applications. My more recent areas of focus are in project management. In support of those skills I have received certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
