Communicate with the Lab Manager, Supervisors, and Team Leaders to effectively implement harmonized policies and procedures Track and monitor all harmonization initiatives and provide status reports at location and QA Department meetings Organize and maintain the Proficiency Testing (PT) sample program Update documents and maintain the document control and distribution systems Ensure that LIMS QC acceptance criteria are in place for all local product codes, in accordance with national Data Quality Objectives Create, maintain and monitor LIMS control charts Maintain appropriate reference standards for performing traceable calibrations Maintain an internal audit schedule and coordinate a technical audit program in compliance with national objectives Respond to Quality System audit reports Track, review, and approve method validation and revalidation Review and monitor non-conformance, corrective action, and needed improvements in the various reporting systems Help to resolve quality issues by assisting with investigations and suggesting corrective action plans Assist with client communications as needed to resolve critical issues Provide a monthly report on quality system performance regarding the implementation, suitability, successes, and risks in the laboratory Coordinate the preparation, on-site activities, and responses related to external audits Provide quality–related training for new and existing employees and maintain records Provide updated and projected PT sample and accreditation costs as requested Participate in Quality Department meetings Schedule, organize reports, and record minutes for Management Reviews Maintain records of subcontract lab test qualifications and perform qualifications as needed Schedule work and plan activities effectively to meet due dates Provide up-to-date accreditation and recognition documentation for the ALS website Track and approve calibrations for mass, volume, and temperature

ABOUT KANWALDEEP KAUR
For most of my student life, I pursued biology, particularly biotechnology. I gained a greater appreciation for the therapeutic side of my studies during my internship at McGill University Health Centre-Research Institute where I researched HIV biomarkers and closely worked with doctors and patients. The conversations with the patients and their appreciation for my field of study further inspired me in joining an institute focused on improving human health. For the past 5 years, I have been working in the Life Sciences industry with the main focus on cell biology. I have gained insight into the everyday functioning of QC testing procedures and testing lifecycle of various biopharmaceutical products.
