About Kanika Golani

Passion, strategy, and tinker; Kanika brings 5+ years of work experience in the built environment with expertise in sustainability and demonstrated history of working in the design and construction industry.She has worked in a multi-disciplinary environment to help empower organizations to better manage their sustainability goals. She has the grit to find detailed avenues of improvement while the ability to simultaneously look at the bigger picture. Kanika has a master\'s degree in design for sustainability and hold an architecture license from India. She has actively participated in various sustainability forums such as UNLEASH Hacks to serve the UN SDGs. She has a special interest in waste management, water conservation, and healthy materials which include LCA and embodied carbon. She is a design strategist and learned design thinking through education makes her a passionate advocate for sustainability. She has supported several projects pursuing LEED at different stages of design and construction, as well as projects pursuing certification through the WELL Building Standard and the Living Building Challenge. She has worked to prepare Energy Management Plans for compliance with ENERGY STAR requirements.
