Dr Andrianopoulos is a Chief Geotechnical Engineer at AtkinsRéalis, a leading engineering consultancy firm that provides innovative solutions for complex infrastructure projects. He has a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He has over 20 years of professional experience in geotechnical earthquake engineering, soil dynamics, foundation engineering, ground improvement and performance-based design.As a Chief Geotechnical Engineer, he leads and supports multidisciplinary teams in developing and applying advanced numerical models for non-linear geotechnical computations under static and seismic conditions, seismic liquefaction phenomena, dynamic soil-structure interaction effects for nuclear power plants, seismic ground response analyses and seismic behavior of dams and embankments.
