ABOUT KANAK GAJJAR

I\'m a Chartered Accountant with seven years of external audit experience across EY India and Deloitte LLP, now working in internal audit at Serco Plc — where I\'m also the function\'s AI catalyst. My audit background spans ISA, UK GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS and PCAOB, built across complex and regulated industries including telecom, technology and media. At Deloitte I managed end-to-end engagements for large PLC and private clients, led complex audit areas (going concern, business combinations, impairment testing, IFRS 9), and drafted technical papers for Audit & Risk Committees. At Serco, I own internal audit engagements end-to-end across operational, IT and compliance domains — from scoping and stakeholder alignment through fieldwork, data analysis, reporting and senior stakeholder presentation. Alongside this, I\'ve been an early adopter of AI in the audit workplace. I design structured audit use cases, fine-tune prompts, and build agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio — a Contract Clause Analyzer, an Engagement QA Assistant, a Terms of Reference Writer (3–4 hours saved per engagement), and an Evidence Analyser built during Serco\'s internal AI hackathon. On one engagement, I translated an audit finding into a multi-agent AI recommendation with supporting technical architecture — now in development. What connects the two halves of my work is simple: seven years doing audits myself means I know where the real pain points sit, and the agents I build are targeted responses to them. I\'m interested in the craft of translating professional standards into structured, explainable AI logic — and in helping audit teams adopt those tools in ways they actually trust. I\'m always open to conversations with other auditors, internal audit leaders, and anyone building at the intersection of audit and AI.
