About Kamyar Rashidi
I’m an optics and photonics researcher specializing in the optimal design and experimental study of optical and photonic devices using ultrashort laser pulses. I have hands-on experience testing optical modules, fiber optics, free-space optics, and performing various optical measurements (Spectroscopy and Fourier Imaging). I’m experienced in object-oriented programming (Matlab, Python) for developing optical software, and I have expertise in optimization techniques and photonics simulation tools (such as COMSOL, Lumerical, Zemax, etc.) for optimal design. Outside of work, I enjoy making educational videos, playing soccer and tennis, and hiking.
