ABOUT KAMYA U. CAMPBELL

Kamya Campbell is a compassionate and driven healthcare professional with diverse experience across clinical care, research, and community engagement. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and has built a strong foundation in both scientific inquiry and patient-centered healthcare through hands-on roles in research, primary care, and pharmacy practice.As a Research Assistant in the Somnuero Lab, Kamya supported studies focused on sleep and neurodegeneration, utilizing laboratory techniques, assisting with data collection and analysis, and contributing to ongoing scientific investigation. She also served as a laboratory animal caretaker at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she maintained the health and welfare of research animals while adhering to strict ethical and safety standards. In her role as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health, she managed prescriptions, ensured medication accuracy, and provided compassionate customer service to diverse patient populations.Kamya currently works in primary care as a Medical Assistant, where she collects patient vitals, documents medical histories, assists with clinical procedures, coordinates care, and supports patient education. These experiences, combined with her personal journey through family illness and caregiving, have strengthened her commitment to compassionate, equitable healthcare.She is now pursuing the path toward becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, with the goal of improving access to quality care, advocating for underserved communities, and helping bridge gaps in trust between patients and the healthcare system. Kamya is motivated by resilience, empathy, and a deep dedication to serving others during their most vulnerable moments.
