For the next two years, I will be working in Dr. Tamayo’s lab at UNC Chapel Hill in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. My research focuses on Clostridioides difficile phase variation and the mechanisms driving phenotypic switching.In addition to leading my own projects, I will serve as lab manager, gaining experience in anaerobic techniques and a variety of phenotypic assays, including swimming and surface motility.
