I have been a Yoga Teacher since as the former owner of Santosha Yoga Studio in Chico, CA and at In Motion Fitness since 2003. In 2008, I started Northern California Yoga Institute, home to Integrative Dynamic Yoga, a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance since 2008. I have served as the Lead Yoga Teacher Trainer for all 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings and workshops. As my professional career as an environmental consultant shifted to business ownership and management, I became an ICF certified Life Coach through iPEC in 2018 to better my leadership skills and create a \"coaching culture.\" After selling my shares in the engineering firm, Covid soon followed and I offered C-suite executive and life coaching for nearly two years before stepping into my role of Director of Water and Resource Conservation at Butte County.although I have always continued to teach yoga classes, workshops, and teacher trainings. In 2026, I will offer a new year-long coaching program, Life on Purpose, which has been in development for the last three years. I am super excited about this coaching immersion because it is a fusion of yoga principles, practices, and teachings integrated with all four of my coaching certification programs including iPEC Energy Leadership and COR.E Dynamics, Brendan Burchard\'s High Performance Coaching, Jay Shetty\'s Life Coaching School, and OOLA Mind and Body Coaching. I believe personal growth, development, and transformation allows us to achieve our life goals, dreams, and cultivate happiness; this is accomplished through ongoing learning, training, coaching, and mentorship - either in-person or live online, not a downloaded program that no one ever finishes.ok maybe 10-20% finish.Yoga and coaching is \"the me\" that I weave into \"all the things\" I do. Together they are my passion that fuels my purpose - to help people live happy, joy-filled lives with meaning, purpose, and passion and lead others to do the same.

Water links us to our neighbor in a way more profound and complex than any other.” (John Thorson)When it comes to \"my work\"- I am passionate about shifting problems into opportunities, creating pathways from can\'t to can, and taking an integrated approach to water resources planning and management in both the natural and built environment.A product of Butte College and CSU, Chico, I started my career as an intern in 1991 as a Planning Analyst for the Town of Paradise’s Wastewater Design Assessment District and Onsite Sanitation Division. Later, while pursuing my master’s in Rural and Town Planning, I worked as a project coordinator on Cal-Fed funded watershed projects for the CSUC Research Foundation. I then transitioned to the private sector working on CEQA documents and long-range planning projects throughout Northern California. Beginning in 2009, I spent 11 years as a Principal Planner and Environmental Department Manager at a 40+person engineering firm in Chico, focusing on 404/401/408/1600 regulatory permitting compliance for land use, roadways, bridges, culverts, water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Eventually I made my way to Durham Irrigation District, serving as the District Manager, and then West Yost as the Stormwater Practice Area Lead. As Butte County’s Director of Water and Resource Conservation, it is my intention to serve the people of Butte County; implement the direction of the Board of Supervisors; inform the decision-making process; work cooperatively with local, regional, state agencies and stakeholders; and sustainably manage, conserve, and protect Butte County’s water resources - now and for future generations. I know that sounds contrived, but for me, it\'s true.
