Participate in managing this complex multi-billions mega development program implemented in the Mediterranean Sea. The development program includes five different packages. The program entails offshore, onshore, greenfield and brownfield scopes. The offshore scope consists of a new wellhead platform, a new process platform, new Subsea facilities (Wellheads, Manifolds…etc.) and Sealines, modification of an existing platform, New CO2 capturing, compressing and injection facilities and FMW-Drilling Rig. The onshore scope was mainly to expand existing hydrocarbons treatment complex; which includes a new condensate stabilization train, new gas treatment train (dehydration, removal of acid gases and compression) and a new SRU. The work was executed in multiple centres (Basingstoke, Rome, and Milan). My duties includes providing support to Offshore Manager and General Project Manager in decision making, contributing to project execution strategy, management of multi-disciplinary engineering team in managing the day-to-day project issues, review and approve project engineering procedures, overseeing project activities encompassing project progress, cost control. Ensure of proper implementation of change management. Take corrective actions concerning any issues that may affect project completion and cost. The program represented a lot of challenges in terms of complexity, limited time, limited resources and the importance of the program to shareholders. It was essential to ensure that micro issues are addressed properly without negative impact on the objectives, schedule or the agreed investment plan. It was crucial to ensure that technical issues are solved in due time and being communicated clearly and subjectively to the program management with evaluation of the alternatives available. Interfacing between the different project packages (among themselves) and with the existing assets was also a big challenge.
