My specific responsibilities in the Transit Projects Unit of the City of Toronto include, but are not limited to, the following:•Undertakes engineering work in the planning, design, and construction of major Capital Transit Projects.•Preparation of reports and correspondence for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Leading the TTMP projects for Major Transit Projects of the City of Toronto•Directs assigned multidisciplinary projects to coordinate input from a variety of City divisions and staffProvide technical expertise services including technical review processes on consultants\' submissions to ensure high standards of work quality and organizational performance.•Liaises with and coordinates input and establishes maintains and fosters linkages with other sections, divisions, and stakeholders such as Metrolinx and the Toronto Transit Commission in the transportation modeling, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and maintenance of major capital transit projects.•Conducts research into assigned areas including guidelines, policies and practices, and relevant legislation.•Prepares and delivers papers, reports, manuals, presentations, speeches, and training materials and represents the Transportation Division at various meetings.•Responds to public complaints and inquiries.•Responsible for carrying out varied engineering assignments within the field of transportation engineering.•Ensures work is undertaken in a manner that complies with and supports City compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), other relevant codes, regulations, and City policies.•Review and coordinate of traffic operation analysis for major transit projects,m including TSP, ICD, Traffic modeling, Signal Timing Plans, TTMPs, etc.Coordinating Transit Projects Unit (TPU) & Traffic Management Centre (TMC) Activities concerning Capital Transit Projects of the City of Toronto.Preparing workshops and training the new staff and team members.
