ABOUT KAMBIZ RAMZAN ALI

With over 25 years of experience in science and laboratory environments, supported by a Master’s degree in Analytical Bioscience, my career bridges scientific leadership, international sport, event management, and civic service.Professional focus centres on Taekwondo event management, Poomsae competitions, and scoring systems, delivered both online and offline, alongside consultancy support for national and international organisations.Leadership of KTA TKD Ltd (ROSS Events) includes delivering full event management, technical operations, and Poomsae scoring systems. ROSS Events is an official Sportsdata partner in the UK, Ireland, and the Baltic States, providing event technology and management expertise. Since COVID-19, 32 successful online events have been delivered worldwide.As Director of Range Sports UK Ltd and JC United Kingdom, responsibilities include supplying World Taekwondo–approved equipment. JC served as official sponsor of the British Taekwondo National Teams and Team GB (2022–2024) and holds official JC licences in the UK, Austria, Germany & the Baltic States. Through KTA Medals, customised medals are supplied to major championships, including the 2025 Austrian Open Poomsae G1.Founded K.R. Ali Taekwondo Academy in 2005, continuing as Head Instructor, alongside roles as International Business Director for the Taekwondo TaeKangWon Association, seminar organiser & director of events including the Mayor Cup Open, Wales International Poomsae Open & Lanarkshire Open Championships.Technical credentials include 8th Dan Black Belt (Chung Do Kwan), 7th Dan Kukkiwon International Master, Kukkiwon Dan Examiner (Class 2), and World Taekwondo International Poomsae Referee. Appointments include officiating at the European Poomsae Championships (2023 & 2025) and serving as Chief Referee at the 2025 British Taekwondo National Poomsae Championships, leading 50 referees. Competitive participation continued in 2024 with a Silver Medal at the World Taekwondo Hanmadang in South Korea, representing Harrogate.Civic service includes serving as Honorary Mayor of Harrogate, representing the Mayor in South Korea, and opening Harrogate Road in 2015. National recognition includes receiving an MBE in His Majesty The King’s 2026 Honours List for services to Taekwondo and the Harrogate community, alongside Honorary Professorships from Sogang College, Kyonggi University, and Korea National Sport University.Driven by a passion for developing Taekwondo globally, strengthening international partnerships, and delivering innovative, community-focused sport.
