ABOUT KAMBIZ GHAZINOUR
Hello! My name is Kambiz (pronounced come-bees) Ghazinour! I am Chair and Professor of CyberSecurity at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Canton. I am also directing the Advanced Information Security and Privacy (AISP) lab. I received my PhD In 2012 in the area of Data Security and Privacy from University of Calgary and was a Post-doc Fellow at the University of Ottawa and Children\'s Hospital of Eastern Ontario until 2014. In 2007, I received my Masters at the University of New Brunswick in the area of High Performance Scientific Computing. In 2003 I received my Bachelors in Software Engineering and from 1998 to 2005, I took on many roles including Software Developer, Systems Analyst and Database Administrator. My current research interests include, but are not limited to- Data Privacy and Machine Learning Techniques, Bigdata Analysis, De-identification Techniques- Data Privacy and Security in Text Analysis- Privacy Enhancing Technologies- Privacy and Security Applications- Privacy in Social Networks and Social Media- Privacy in Health Sector and Electronic Health Information- Privacy Aware Database Management Systems.
