As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies at Grand Valley State University, I: Teach undergraduate courses in Python and Data Science (this will expand over the years!). Develop and deliver student-centered learning experiences that integrate real-world applications and interdisciplinary problem solving. Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic and professional development. Conduct and publish research in areas including Theranostics, molecular imaging, bioinformatics, health informatics, and AI applications in healthcare. Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to advance GVSU’s mission of high-impact teaching and research. Contribute to curriculum development and departmental service. My current research explores how emerging technologies in imaging and data science can be harnessed to improve clinical outcomes and advance translational healthcare. I am passionate about empowering students to think critically, integrate knowledge across disciplines, and apply it to meaningful challenges in science and healthcare.
