I earned my MA in psychology from New College of California in San Francisco. My previous experience includes individual psychodynamic talk therapy, sex abuse therapy, sex education and sex counseling, substance abuse recovery, group, couples, family and child therapy.I come from a sex-positive, secular approach and work well with all couples including inter-racial and alternative couples and families. I am available for brief sex education and counseling or for long term in-depth intimacy issues. I often work in conjunction with other individual and couple therapists, physicians and physical therapists who have clients who need a sex therapist while maintaining their ongoing treatment.I have successfully treated hundreds of couples that have a wide variety of issues. I love to treat couples because there is such a high growth potential for both the relationship and the individuals. I also see it as my personal mission in life to do everything possible to create positive, healthy, and happy relationships. I tailor my treatment according to the needs of the couple. For example, a couple with children that feels overworked, tired, and notices that the luster they once had is gone, needs one plan; a different approach might be used when one person has had an affair (see Affairs); and a couple in their 60s dealing with revitalizing their sexual relationship after having a prostectomy would have a different treatment plan. My therapy style is to cut quickly to the chase and get to the heart of the matter.
