About Kamal Basu
My passion for Brands and its consumers took me on a career journey traversing marquee advertising agency brands like Young & Rubicam, Ogilvy and Saatchi & Saatchi. Became one of the youngest CEO at Saatchi & Saatchi, India in 2008. Managed brands across categories from Services (British Airways, American Express Cards), Pharmacy (Glaxo, Smithkline Beecham, Novartis, J&J) to Personal and Body Care (Hindustan Unilever, P&G) amongst others. After this rich experience, I moved on to head marketing at the Volkswagen Group in India (Skoda and Volkswagen). And later at Nissan India. In the third phase of my career journey, I am glad to be back to my roots, Advertising. At McCann World Group. As Executive Director and Chief Growth Officer, I support and mentor team leaders to strengthen their capabilities with the little wisdom that I may have collected along my journey. I am in a happy space working with a great team of professionals.
