About Kalyan V.
At BBOT I lead drug product development for all company assets. I have also interfaced with Clinical (Pharm & Ops) to provide CMC guidance on drug supply forecasting to aid in trial design and enrollment. At Praxis I was integrated into CMC teams with the task of efficiently designing and delivering drug product for clinical stage assets, including in the Pediatric space. A secondary role included embedding with a Preclinical team to support candidate nomination for R2D transition. Prior to this I spent several years at BMS and Celgene primarily in the oncology space working on the formulation of small molecules in the Drug Product Development (DPD) group and serving as the DPD leader on CMC teams. Approximately half of my technical work was conducted in our pilot lab facility and the remainder was managed externally at partner CMOs.My early pharmaceutical career began at Biogen in the Pharmaceutical Science group where I applied my background in inorganic chemistry to preclinical formulation development. I also gained hands-on experience with our newly built pilot lab for Ph 1 drug product development and worked closely with Preclinical and CMC teams to advance neurology and immunology programs through R2D transition.
