ABOUT KALVINDER S.

With over 30 years of experience as a qualified solicitor, I am an experienced solicitor in commercial law and contracts, especially in the public sector. I have advised on numerous procurement projects, ranging from security services to electricity supplies, under various frameworks and agreements. I have also handled complex contractual legal matters, such as IT dispute resolution, data protection, and transfer of services.Currently, I am working as a team leader contracts and procurement solicitor in the public sector, where I am leading a team of four solicitors involved in drafting, reviewing, and signing off agreements for every department in the councils making up the Southampton, Fareham and Havant Legal Partnership. I am lead lawyer and manager of the contracts and a procurement team which is an incredibly busy and dynamic team, where I can apply my skills and knowledge to support the delivery of quality and cost-effective public sector and public health services. My goal is to continue to provide high-level legal advice and solutions to clients in the public and private sectors. And to mentor and supervise solicitors in my team and help my colleagues and team leaders in other teams. I am actively advising the boards on some major matters at Southampton. I am actively advising on procurement and contract negotiations and assisting my team as and when needed. Working in a dynamic and fast paced and incredibly busy team with heavy workloads and every team is working hard to deal with a fast paced, dynamic and busy organisation. In most recent years, since Covid, most interesting and varied roles at Enfield LBC 2023 and challenging at West Northants and most unusual at Ark Data Centres in 2022. Always something new to learn every day.
