About Kalptaru Agarwal
I am a Senior Associate at Bain & Company, where I work with leading private equity funds and global clients on diverse and challenging projects across industries. My work spans commercial due diligence, post-acquisition strategy, disruption analysis, and target screening. I enjoy combining data-driven models, advanced databases, and structured problem-solving to deliver insights that help clients make high-impact decisions.Beyond client work, I am part of Bain’s Private Equity Group training team, where I lead sessions on slide creation, storytelling, and Excel modeling. I’ve also been actively involved in pro-bono social projects, diversity initiatives, and firm events - anchoring offsites and contributing to team culture. For my efforts, I was honored with the Lighthouse Award, given to the best employee across the Analyst batch.Mentorship and coaching are areas I’m deeply passionate about. I have trained over aspiring professionals on strategy and consulting as a mentor with Metvy, advisor to Enactus Gargi, and mentor for Kaizen at Hindu College.I graduated with a B.Com (Hons) from Hindu College, University of Delhi in 2022. During my time there, I served as Chief Advisor of the Entrepreneurship Cell, and took on leadership roles in the Finance & Investment Cell as well as the English Debating Society. I also led the Department of Commerce, joined the Marquee Fellowship Program, and consulted for social enterprises and NGOs - experiences that shaped my skills in strategy, communication, and problem-solving.Earlier, in school, I served as Head of the Cabinet (Prime Minister) and was an active debater, quizzer, and actor earning over 50 accolades in competitions across these fields.Outside of work, I am keenly interested in sports, geopolitics, history, business, finance, and startups. I actively play badminton, football, and cricket, and enjoy exploring ideas that combine analytical rigor with creativity to solve complex problems and make a positive impact.
