About Kalissa Hendrickson

I am a nonprofit program director with experience transforming and scaling leadership development initiatives at the Aspen Institute. As Executive Director of Aspen Leadership Seminars, I oversee a team in the design and delivery of innovative leadership programs to Fortune 500 companies, federal agencies, and global foundations. In my outward-facing role, I consult with CEOs, senior teams, executive boards, government officials, military personnel, and educators to create bespoke seminars and serve as lead moderator on a number of our offerings. Internally at the Institute, I lead a team executing 30+ seminars a year to advance our mission of fostering values-based, humanistic leadership.I find deep satisfaction in diving into organizational complexities, developing systematic solutions, and building high-performing teams to achieve strategic goals. In my time at the Institute, I’ve had the privilege of leading a team that modernized our legacy seminar programs through strategic repositioning and operational excellence. We now deliver 60+ seminars each year to a wide portfolio of organizations such as Microsoft, Meta, HP, Microsoft Gaming, Centers for Disease Control, University of Chicago, Stand Together Foundation, Crown Family Foundation, Chanel Culture Fund, and Qatar Leadership Center, among others. Together, we have built sustainable partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to increase organizational effectiveness and unlock new opportunities.I began my career in academia, earning a PhD and teaching courses in English literature and composition. This foundation in deep analysis and clear communication serves me well as I support senior leaders in building their leadership capabilities and navigating complex organizational challenges.
