About Kristen Lindquist
My career has been dedicated to unraveling the complexities of human emotions through the tools of experimental psychology and neuroscience. I am a Professor of Psychology and the Robert K. and Dale J. Weary Chair in Social Psychology at The Ohio State University. I\'m affiliated with both the Social Psychology and the Cognitive Neuroscience programs within the department.Research within my Affective Science Lab takes a constructionist approach to emotions, blending social psychology, neuroscience, physiology, and linguistics. This work not only advances academic understanding, but also has practical implications for mental health, wellness, education, and organizations. Our team is committed to contributing to a broader comprehension of how emotions are constructed by the brain and shaped by our social worlds.
