Southern Region Public Health Education Consultant within the Office of Policy and Practice Alignment with the Division of Public Health. Provide complex leadership for public health system efforts that assure consistent and accountable public health services, develop public health system capacity and link public health system partner\'s work. Cultivate relationships with local and tribal health departments and other stakeholders to improve health in underserved and minority communities and advance health equity activities statewide. Provide leadership in assuring compliance with public health statute and rules. Support comprehensive and effective local community health assessments and planning in coordination with state staff to incorporate work into the WI State Health Assessment and Improvement Plan. Assess plan, organize, implement and evaluate public health interventions. Contracts and grant development and administration services. Link public health system partners to carry out core functions, essential public health services, foundational capabilities and national public health performance standards. Partner with state health equity offices and workgroups to advance regional efforts to mitigate health disparities and promote health equity principles to achieve targeted health improvements. Provide regional preparation for and response to public health issues, circumstances, events and emergencies. Participate in regional and statewide efforts to assure effective and efficient public health system response. Provide public health planning expertise on state and regional collaborative efforts to align public health policy and practice.
